R95 Mask Particle Respirator

r95 mask for oil-based particle filtering respirationThis R95 mask is NIOSH approved for 95% filtration efficiency of solid and liquid aerosol particulates that may contain oil. Commonly used for dry particles or “dust” such as those from processing coal, iron ore, flour, metal, wood, pollen, and other substances. The R95 mask is also effective against liquid or oil-based from sprays that do not emit harmful vapors. Its carbon filter layer is rated for nuisance levels of organic vapors per OSHA PEL.  This respirator mask can reduce inhalation exposures to certain airborne biological particles such as mold, Bacillus anthracis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and others, but cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness, or disease.

R95 Mask Features

  • 100% latex free
  • Niosh approved
  • Caron layer filters nuisance vapors
  • Gray color
  • Disposable
  • Braided headbands
  • Molded cone design with collapse-resistant shell
  • Fits a wide range of face sizes
  • Adjustable noseclip and soft nose foam
  • Fluid and splash resistant
  • NIOSH-certified R95
  • Meets CDC guidelines for Mycobacterium tuberculosis exposure control (when worn properly and in combination with protective eyewear)
  • Complies with the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard
  • Airborne liquid vapor, oil, or dust particle filtration: 95% efficiency
  • Bacterial filtration efficiency: greater than 99% (determined by the modified Greene and Vesley method)
  • Cautions and Limitations:
    • If oil aerosols are present, time use may be limited to 8 hours of continuous or intermittent use.
    • Not for use in atmospheres of less than 19% oxygen or otherwise immediately dangerous to human health.
    • Maximum use concentrations are of critical importance and should not be exceeded.
    • Respirators should be selected, fitted, used, and maintained in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards including MSHA and OSHA.
    • Failure to properly use this particle respirator mask may result in death or injury.
    • Never omit, substitute, or modify parts that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
    • This respirator does not supply oxygen.
    • In the U.S., a written respiratory protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 1910.134 including training, fit testing and medical evaluation.
  • Made in the U.S.A.

  • As a respirator in medical and surgical applications including electrocautery, laser surgery, and use of other powered medical instruments.
  • As a surgical mask, this R95 mask is fluid resistant to splash and spatter of blood and other infectious material.
  • Environments: foundry operations, lab environments, agriculture, petrochemical manufacturing, and undercoating spray operations.
  • Processes: grinding, bagging, sanding, sweeping in oil and non-oil environments, and other dusty operations.
  • Do not use:
    • For gases, arsenic, cadmium, lead, 4,4’-methylene dianiline (MDA), asbestos, sandblasting, or paint spray
    • When particulate concentrations exceed 10 times the PEL/OEL, specific OSHA standards, or applicable

      government regulations, whichever is lower.

    • When organic vapor concentrations exceed the OSHA PEL or other applicable exposure limits, whichever is lower.
